Determining the 3D position of objects through stereo vision

Octinion often builds vision applications where we need to determine the 3D position of objects. In the movie below you see 2 examples of stereo vision. Two cameras are looking at the same object. By combining the images, we can calculate the position and the orientation. This is first illustrated with a calibration plate, and then with a badminton shuttle.

This technology is also used in the Octinion Strawberry Picking Robot.
